Duet

First there was the word
and the word became flesh
and the flesh
in its rise
and in its collapse
weakness that is so compelling
turned words into sighs
but even the heaviest sigh
when it dies in a caress
turns flesh into word
and the word
on whispered breath
is love.

  1. The word became flesh
Just in a fragment of time,
Leaving too much yet to explore
    The flesh became word
    For the unexplored
    Rising and rising
Till it turned into the heaviest sigh ever
    A craving like no other.
    The flesh touched too little
    waits and waits
    At least for a word
