we follow familiarity maps
stumble and fall
in undergrowth and nettle
wince in bedbug sting and
inconvenient truth
that does not count
in sunlit journeys;
And in days
of sunlight-splash
we partake bliss
-- the lesser versions --
in the augmenting
of in-our-face wisdom
that nudge out
the dimensions of the dull.
And in threshold light
the just-enough clashwith hardly-adequate
the misnamed and misbegotten
emerge from ignorance
rise above wisdom
and in glow-remnant
and night's tentative footfall
there's truth to gather, self to reclaim.
